Frank Ashdown Pemberton Heights founded — the Ratepayers Association and acted as president of the organization for 25 years. Ashdown remains active as municipal council Haison for the community association. In the early 1970s Ashdown was the North Vancouver District Centennial Committee chairman for the B.C. - Centennial celebrations in 1970-71. Asa member of the centennial com- mittee Marjorie Ashdown recommended the ecology centre at Lynn Canyon as the q. centennial! project. She also created and maintains the Gateway Gardens at Pemberton Heights. Robertson served with the RCMP for 24 years prior to taking on the court job in 1991, North Vancouver RCMP Supt. Gil Yard remembered Robertson at the memorial service. “George’s untimely pass- ing has been par- ticularly hard for ali of us who knew and worked with him.
