The organizers (Vancouver Nat- ural History Society) are looking for people with feeding stations in their gardens, who would count NEVERLAND: The Adventures of Peter Pan and Wendy will be pres- ented Dec. 12 - Jan. 4 at Van- couver’s Firehall Theatre. , This 1986 adaptation of the J.M. Barrie classic about the boy who could fly has been penned by Patricia Ludwick, and features Peter Pan’s playground with his friends Wendy, the Darling clan, Capt. Hook, Tiger Lily and of course, that twinkling chatterbox, Tinker Bell. Keeping with tradition there are battles with pirates, acrobatic fly- ing and ticking man-eating croco- diles, Tamahnous Theatre, celebrating its [Sth season, is now under the helm of newly appointed artistic director Kathleen Weiss. Playwright Patricia Ludwick is also an actress. In 1983, she was nominated for best actress for Blood Relations and her play Alone was up for best new play at that year’s Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards. She has worked a great deal with the development of new scripts at the New Play Cen- tre. Directing Neverland is Susan Astley, a founding member of Tamahnous Theatre. Her previous directing credits include two of Vancouver’s biggest hits, Last Cali: A Post-Nuclear Cabaret and Sex Tips for Modern Girls. Portraying Peter Pan will be Experimental Dance And Music dancer Peter Bingham. His arch- rival, Capt. Hook, will be played by Peter Anderson. The choreography is by Experimental Dance And Music. Neverland opens Dec. 12 at the Firehall Theatre, 280 East Cor- dova, running nightly Tuesday to Sunday at 7:30 p.m. until Jan. 4th.
