Only two of the vans and big trucks were found to have no problems dur- ing the surprise inspection. Although none of the vehicles were taken off the road, eight were found to have brake problems and four were overloaded. Three drivers got tickets and 12 got warning tickets. A similar inspection was cancelled by West Vancouver Police because of heavy rain on Tuesday. Supreme Court this week in connection with a new tral, this time the third. O’Grady’s second trial, following appeal, ended in July 1996 with a hung jury after four weeks of testimony and four days of jury delibera- tions. O'Grady was convicted of murdering his wife Beverly during a first. tial that occurred about a year after the woman died. This week's scheduled court proceedings are banned from publication.
