The Corporation of the District West Vancouver

All commercially zonzd lands in West Vancouver and lands containing uses being defined (eg.
Restaurants, Neighbourhood Public Houses, Nightclubs/Cabarets) would be potentially affected by
-the creation of definitions. Only two sites, being those currently containing the Squarerigger Pub,
(Lots A and C, Block 14, District Lot 237, Plan 15994; Lot B (Reference Plan 8882) Block 14,
District Lot 237. Plan 3459 including those two parts of closed lane shown outlined red and green on
Reference Plan 12866, both of Block 14, District Lot 237, Plan 3459; and Lot 16, Block 14, District §
lot 237, Plan 3459) and the Troller Pub (Lot 9, Block 34, District Lot 430, Plan 2103) and as shown J
on the Maps below, would be zoned to permit a Neighbourhood Public House.

The amendment creates specific definitions for Neighbourhood Public House, Marine Public House,
Nightclub/Cabaret and Restaurant. ft rezones the parcel containing the Squarerigger Pub and Troiler

+ Pub to allow continuation of the Neighbourhood Public House use in the focation on the parcel shown
in the bylaw. Restaurants are, and will continue to be permitted in most commercial zones (no change
other than definition proposed). Nightclubs/Cabarets and Marine Public Houses are not permitted in
any zone. .
The bylaw establishes definitions for each of the uses so that Council can regulate which parcels such
uses can be located upon by way of a public rezoning process. Restaurants continue as permitted uses
but proposed pubs and Nightclubs/Cabarets would require an application for a change in zoning.
