David and Jane were married in Scotland
last March 6. The “secret” wedding took
guests, who thought they were attending
an engagement party, by surprise. The
couple plan to reside in North Van and a
church blessing will be held here in Juty.

Jack was &0 years young last May 23. He
has spent almost 50 of those years living
in North Vancouver. He worked for many
years as a teacher and school principal in
North Van and has spemnt his “retirement”
serving the citizens cf North Vancouver
City as their mayor. On May 24th. a cele-
bration was held to mark this milestone
birthday. His wife of 52 years, Olive, and
their four children, six grandchildren and
many friends and relatives gathered to
wish him many more years of health and
happiness. Says Mary of father Jack's
baby photo: “The smile hasn’t changed in
80years.” .
