Pops enjoyed in park

A pleasant crowd of music appreciators gathered in John Lawson
Park at 5 p.m. on Aug. 14, to enjoy the musical sounds of the
Summer Pops Youth Orchestra. Sunny skies :ind light summer
breeze welcomed the concert goers who clusiered on the lawn
or settled into wooden chairs marked “West Vancouver
Recreation Centre.” Conductor Jim Littleford and his crew were
a treat as was ticir selection of popular music, marches, show
tunes and light classics. The Pop. performs at Lonsdale Quav at
2 p.m., today, Aug. 24 and agai at John Lawson Park at
29-7864.
