over NRS network

WINDERMERE Canada
has purchased the
Canadian franchise net-
work of National Real
Estate Service (NRS).

“This is the largest single
conversion of offices in
Windermere’s 28 year histo-
ry.” reports Windermere
President Jerry Jackman.

With the addition of the
70 Canadian NRS franchise
offices, the Windermere net-
work grows to 221 offices
and over 4,700 sales agents
in 8.C., Alberta, Saskat-
chewan, Manitoba, Ontario,
Northwest Territories, Yu-
kon, Washington State,
Oregon and Idaho.

The greatest impact will
be seen in British Columbia
where the network increases
to 42 Windermere offices.

“NRS built a powerful
network of Canadian fran-
chise cffices over the past 16
years,” states Jackman.
“These brokers have run suc-
cessful real estate offices
and have been very loyal to
the NRS banner. To capital-
ize on the equity these

‘offices have built up in the

NRS name, the offices will
be known as Windermere
NRS. Our job over the next
several months will be to
assist the NRS franchise
group in the transition. We
now have an exciting plat-
form from which to continue
to grow the Windermere net-
work in Canada.”

The sale of the NRS fran-
chise group is the final
strategic move by NRS
Block Bros. Realty on its
new direction in the real
estate industry, a move that
will see NRS capitalize on
its successful 28 year history
of data base management
and catalogue printing with
the launch of HOMENET ~—
a World Wide Internet
Listing and Catalogue
Publishing Services.
Windermere will! become
HOMENET’s newest cus-
tomer —- a demonstration of
tie co-operation that exists
beiween the two companies.

President and CEO of
NRS, Paul Prade, will also
be making the move to
Windermere to assume the
duties of President of
Business Development.
