Three nabbed for car theft THREE YOUNG offenders are in police custody following the re- covery of a hot car and stolen goods early Jan. 17. Police were called in to investigate report of a break, enter and theft at a Deep Cove pharmacy. A suspect vehicle containing three males had been seen leaving the scene. Police pursued the suspect vehicle (o Windridge Road and Riv- erside Drive. According to a witness, the high-speed chase ended when the suspect vehicle’s brakes locked and the car skidded into a telephone pole. Two males were taken into custody. A police dog was brought in to track a third suspect. The trail led to the edge of Seymour River, through several yards and on to Seymour Parkway, where the suspect was apprehended near a community school. Two suspects have been charged with theft of an auto over $1,000. All three have been charged with theft. Luxury goods stolen from home A BREAK and enter thief made off with more than $50,000 worth of furs, jewelry and electronic equipment Jan. 12, after breaking into a North Vancouver home. . North Vancouver RCMP officers have full descriptions of items taken and are continuing their investigation. Information regarding the break-in may be forwarded to police at 985-1311. Two arrested for coke possession NORTH VANCOUVER RCMP, in conjunction with Port Moody Police, arrested two suspects Jan. 9 in possession of three ounces of cocaine. Charged with possession for the purpose to traffic are 31- year-old Michael Crocker of Port Moody, and 27-year-old Nicholas Burgess of Burnaby. INV man jailed for driving offence A 35-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was sentenced Jan. 18 to seven days in jail after he pleaded guilty to driving while he was prohibited from doing so. William Robert Hitching was originally charged in connection with a Sept. 16, 1989 incident on West Third Street near Forbes Avenue in North Vancouver City.
