Although West Van fast bowlers expended a lot of energy, the North Shore batters played cautiously, and even slow balls could not tempt them to play recklessly. It's tradition, which has all players wearing white pants and shirts, even in a friendly match under the blazing sun. It’s dignified, and although there are many appeals to the umpire during the match nobody is sup- ed to get really mad at im for a bad call.
