for vehicle buyers

THE British Columbia Automobile
Association offers services for both
members and nen-members who
are buying new or used vehicles.

Buying a new car?

The BCAA Autochoice program) was
developed to give you the most up-ta-date
information on new passenger vehicles avail-
able in B.C. The Autochoics New Car
Program from BCAA will help you make the
right buying decision. The Autochoice Buyer
Kit includes:

¢ Information on driving costs, vehicle
safety and fuel consumption;

¢ CAA auto review and ratings;

® The Autochoicve New Car Price Guide;

¢ A helpful car buyer worksheet,

* Three free Autochoice Facts printouts;

* In-person Autochoice Consult.

Cost of the New Car Buyer Kit is $12.84
(plus shipping) for BCAA members; and
$16.05 for non-members (plus shipping)

Cost of the Autochoice Consult for BCAA
members is $51.36,; anc $64.20 for non-
members,

Before you buy a used car, repair your pre-
sent car or go on vacation, get BCAA’s com-
prehensive visual, instrument & performance
inspection.

BCAA Vehicle Inspection Service gives
you the oppartunity to have a certified
mechanic do a comprehensive check betore
the warranty expires on your new car, before
you purchase a used car, before you repair
your present car or before you take an extend-
ed trip or vacation.

Inspections can be arranged at the Static
Centre, 5590 Goring Street, Burnaby, or ac
new or used car lots, private residences or
other locations suitable for mobile inspectors.
This low cost service is available in the
Greater Vancouver area.

Qualified Auto Mechanics use a detailed
check list to carry out the visual and instru-
ment inspection. You receive a confidential

report listing vehicle defects.

Members save money and avoid costly
errors by receiving this unbiased and expert
advice before buying or repairing a car.

BEFORE YOU BUY A USED CAR

! Select the car you wish to buy.

2. Advise the salesperson (c+ private owner)
or mechanic that you want the BCAA Vehicle
Inspection Service to inspect the car before
you buy or finalize anv agreement. Write on
the contract: “Subject to BCAA Vehicle
laspection results meeting with the approval
of the purchaser.”

3.Phone the BCAA Vehicle Inspection

+ Service at 298-2755 for an appointment, usu-

ally a day in advance.

4.Do not sign any sales or other agreement
until the inspection has been completed and
released to you.
