RE-ELECT TED VWVHITE - Your MP SINCE 1993 Tel: 980-5300 £ § ted white, m.p. wd Speculation has been running high for several weeks now, but as of today it seems certain that the Prime Minister will this weekend announce that a federal election is set to occur on June 2nd or June 9th. In case the cali comes as expected, it is important to note the foliowing two amendments to the Elections Act. Firstly, the campaign period has been reduced to 37 days, a blessing if you cannot stand seeing election signs all over the place, I but a bit of a rush for campaign organizers and candidates. Secondly, in order to more closely coordinate the release of election results across the country, the polis in B.C. wilt be open from 7 am to 7 pm on election day. This new 7 pm closing time is one hour earlier than for previous federal elections.
