SKATING... North Shore figure skater Kendra Greenslade finished an impressive fifth out of 27 compctitors in the junior ladies’ division at last weekend’s B.C. champi- onships in Kelowna. The top five finish for the Vancouver Skating Club athlete means she will be an alternate at the Western Divisional cham- pionships in Coquitlam next month. Other North Shore skaters representing the Vancouver Skating Club at the provincials were: Casey Solecki, who fin- ished ninth out of 25 skaters in the novice ladies’ category; Alexis Tardiff, 10th out of 25 competitors in the pre- novice ladies” category; and Kristen Cartwright, who was 22nd in the pre- novice division. Twelve-year-old Tardiff, of West Vancouver, was awarded the pre-novice ladies artis- tic award, a first for a pre- novice skater from the Vancouver Skating Club. SWIMMING...
