when budgeting for a trip

THIS SUMMER promises to be one for seeing Canada from the road, says
the Car Care Council of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada,

If you are one of the millions of people who will be vacationing in motor
vehicles, heed the advice of the Car Care Council (CCC) and avoid the last-
minute rush when you may not have it in your budget.

Your pre-trip car care should include the following:

1 Cooling system check-up and service as needed;

0 Lubrication services, including oil and filter change;

G Engine and electrical system check and service as needed;

(3 Undercarriage check-up, including brake and exhaust systems, tires, sus-
pension and wheel alignment; /

© Transmission fluid check and replacement if needed; ,

© Lights and windshield wiper check; and. . Lo

(1 Interior/exterior appearance. Family travel at best is hard on a vehicle,
inside and out. You may be spending a lot of your vacation inside your car, so
the CCC suggests you start out with the seats and carpeting clean and well
protected. . "
