finals spot in Switzerland.

Hunter and Fought broke Nancy
Kerr in the third game to take a 2-1
lead, then later broke Karen Kerr
to go ahead 4-1 before serving out
the set.

“We knew we had to play well
to beat them,’’ said Hunter, 55.
“We hoped to come out ag-
gressive, which we did in the first
set and won it.”

After that ‘‘we basically were
tentative and not aggressive
enough.”

In the second set, Karen Kerr
lost her serve in the third game,
but broke back against Hunter in
the fourth game before the teams
remained on serve until the 10th
game, when Fought lost her serve
ona third break point.
