Cap Blues third in Canadian championships ee oe =e CAP COLLEGE Blues will have to wait ull next year to reach the top of the Canadian College soccer hsts following the National invitational championships held at the North Shore school over the weekend. Blues finished im third place behind a strong Malaspina College of Nanaimo who downed Seneca of Toronto 1-0 in an exciting final Saturday at Kinsmen Stadium. The local entry knocked off Northern Alberta In- stutute of Technology of Ed- monton 4-2 for third place. Malaspina knocked off Cap 1-0 in one of the sem- final matches while Seneca downed NAIT 2-0. Fullback Aaron Powell and sweeper Rob Gambron were selected to the all-star squad which consisted of the 11 top players - not by position. Most Valuable Player of the tournament was Sweeper Gavin Bowers of Malaspina.
