NASHVILLE, - Tenn.
(UPI) - A man who-found a
decomposed mouse in a can
of beef stew is suing Camp-
bell's Soup Co. for $100,000,
claiming he has “lost the
ability to enjoy eating such
food” asa result of the
experience.

The suit was filed Wed-
nesday on behalf of Barry
Martin, who said he had to
pay medical bills, lost wages
and suffered mental pain and
embarrassment as a result of
discovering the rodent in a
can of Bounty Brand Beef

Stew bought from a vending
machine at work.

Detring said Martin, who
is requesting a jury trial, ate
a portion of the Stew and
then “noticed it didn’t taste
exactly right. Then he
noticed a tail and then he
noticed the body of a whole
mouse.”

Detring said the mouse
was “partially decomposed.”

“There were several
people at the table who saw
him find the mouse,”
Detring said. “He became ill
at once and had to leave
