NOTICE OF REFERENDA PUBLIC NOTICE is given to the electors of the District of West Vancouver that on Saturday, 1993 November 20 referenda will be held to determine whether the electors would favour the dedication as parkland of a certain portion of the community use lands, and whether future dedication of other such lands should be pursued. Question I relates to PARK DEDICATION (CYPRESS RIDGE OLD GROWTI1) BYLAW NO. 3840, 1993 A Bylaw to dedicate an area of Old Growth forest in Cypress Ridge as an old growth preservation area. WHEREAS The Corporation of the District of West Vancouver Is the registered owner of certain Jands within the Municipality on Cypress Ridge, comprising of some 133.6 acres of old growth forest in an area commonly known as 'the Triangle’, lying west of Cypress Bowl Road at the 2,300 foot elevation; . AND WHEREAS Council may control use of this area through dedication which would supersede any zoning; _ AND WHEREAS Council wishes these lands used for public purposes, namely os an old growth preservation area; NOW THEREFORE the’ Municipal Council of The Corporation of the District of West vancouver, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: ap oo The following lands are hereby dedicated for park purposes pursuant ’ to Section 533 of the Municipal Act: * Approximately 733.6 acres more particularly known and _' described as those portions of District Lots 1124, 1125, 1126, 1127, 1128, 1129, 1343, 1344 and the Closed Road shown on ‘Explanatory Plan LMP , all as outlined in heavy black - line on the.plan attached hereto as Schedule "A’, dated for reference 1993 September 24 and forming an integral part of this Bylaw.
